Transportation Foul: NO FREE SHUTTLE

In a stunning display of stupidity, I did not check with the Park Service to see when Glacier’s free hiker shuttles stop running for the season. It turns out that the last day to use the shuttle service is LABOR DAY. I should have figured.
I am so, so sorry about this. What a major party [...]

Putting on a Pretty Face

After deliberating about the results of my May makeup trial in Montana, I decided that I would just DIY my face on the day-of. Honestly, I feel relieved. I’m confident at doing my own makeup and the money I saved on the day-of application (including hourly fee and transportation for the makeup artist to the [...]

Please RSVP!

Today is the last day to drop your RSVP cards in the mail. Look at that lovely prepaid postage… see how it beckons!
If you find that your mailbox seems impossibly far away, don’t fret. You can RSVP right here. Right now. Online.

And please RSVP even if we know you’re coming… we need to know your [...]

Thinking Inside the Box

I love old wooden boxes!
Little ones, big ones, crates and containers… I think they’re just so neat and special looking.

In fact, I picked up something pretty much just like this Dupont Explosives box (but more weathered) at the Fremont Sunday Antique Market a few months ago…

Campout!

If you’re willing to rough it, you can experience Glacier at its fullest and save a fistful of dough. The park is scattered with campgrounds, all beautifully groomed and open for the season.
There are five Glacier National Park campgrounds conveniently located not too far from Polebridge: Apgar, Fish Creek, Sprague Creek, Avalanche, and Bowman Lake.

A Sneak Peek…

Hard Pillow, Soft Pillow

For our wedding, I’ve decided I wanted something… firmer… than the average ring pillow. In fact, I want to forgo fabric and plush entirely for a more “natural” look. And while I think the ever-popular Paloma’s Nest Ring Bowls are beautiful, they just aren’t quite what I’m looking for.
I want something that evokes a natural, [...]

Dressing Up the Dudetourage

We recently had a bit of a wedding attire dilemma. As he wrote earlier, Justin isn’t terribly fond of renting tuxedos. As a result, Justin opted to have a custom suit made for the wedding. It’s a much bigger investment than renting, but he’ll get more satisfaction and much better mileage out of it.
With Justin [...]

Park Lodging: An Update

Just a heads up – As of this week, the rooms being reserved for our wedding have been released and are no longer held in our names.
First, we apologize that our invitations took so long to reach you. We didn’t intend for them to arrive after the room-release date! But there were unavoidable delays and [...]

Hanging it all on a (photo) line

See that photo? Yeah, that’s from a very nice Style Me Pretty real wedding. I just want to eat up their whole rustic-y ambiance, but this picture in particular is taaaaaasty.
Why? Because it’s such a great idea and I hadn’t thought of anything like it. So, naturally, I’m gonna make one of my very own!
