There are many, many places to stay in and around Glacier National Park. I’ve listed only a few of the most convenient below. If you have other ideas or require different accommodation, please comment here and we will be happy to give you our feedback.
LODGING IN GLACIER NATIONAL PARK
- Lake McDonald Lodge ($108 – $154, sleeps 2-8)
- West Glacier/Apgar Village ($108 – $154, sleeps 2-8)
- Park Campgrounds ($15 – $20 per night)
Glacier National Park is filled with gorgeous, historic lodges, from its easternmost to westernmost corners. We are lucky that two of the best are within an hour of Polebridge. Both Apgar Village Inn and Lake McDonald Lodge are situated on Lake McDonald with views of the mountains. Rooms range from $108 to $154 per night and are available in a variety of room types, including lodge rooms, motor in rooms, and cabin rooms. Rooms sleep from 2 to 8 people.
We encourage you to book lodging in the Park if possible. First, it will provide you the opportunity to enjoy Glacier at its fullest… even if you don’t rent a car, the Park Service offers a free shuttle to the most scenic locations in the park. Secondly, we will provide a free (and optional) shuttle on our wedding day to and from the festivities in Polebridge. This shuttle is provided for the safety and convenience of our guests.
The wedding shuttle will depart and return ONLY via Lake McDonald Lodge and Apgar Village. All guests are welcome to ride as long as they are present at the pickup locations.
Anyone who doesn’t mind roughing it can find amazing camping in Glacier’s numerous campgrounds. The most conveniently located non-primitive campgrounds are : Apgar, Fish Creek, Sprague Creek, Bowman Lake, and Avalanche .
